The difference between standard ARNOLD Classic and ARNOLD Straight vices

E-mail Print PDF

The ARNOLD vices that we see in most work-shops are those with overlaps at the sides. These overlaps (open slots) are necessary for locating onto the swivel base.

Nowadays, it is rarely necessary to use this base as machines are normally capable of doing this operation. This is the reason for the 'straight' model. This model occupies less space and is therefore suitable for being placed on the machine table parallel/alongside a row of other 'straight' vices. These vices are fixed on the tables with clamps.
