The jaw of the ARNOLD TWIN vice nearest to the handle does not move

E-mail Print PDF

This can happen because the jaw has been opened too far (large work-piece). The jaw seizes up against the end clamp/back flange (cod. 940241125).

The following should be done to free the jaw:ARNOLD TWIN's squeme

  • Rotate the handle clockwise and the clutch will operate.
  • Continue turning to the end and then proceed to rotate.
  • The vice will come unstuck and the jaws will begin to move.

The clutch must now be returned to its original condition:

  • Rotate the handle anti-clockwise holding one of the 2 jaws with the other hand so that it can move.
  • The high pressure will release itself and a small but definite knock on the handle (anti-clockwise) will locate the clutch in the original position.
