Detail of spindle mounting platesThe spindle mounting plates (032) are 2 independent parts.

These parts position the high pressure spindle at the centre of the movable jaw assembly. Whenever the spindle has been removed and is being mounted back on the assembly, the screws should be tightened gradually with care so as to achieve the best centring location.

Some machine operators have the habit of releasing the cross pin (044) when changing parts and sliding the movable jaw assembly back. This movement causes a certain strain on the 2nd cross pin and the mounting plates which, in turn, could damage the thread that binds the screw.

It is preferable to avoid this working procedure.
